                   INADEQUATE PROTECTION OF SERBS,
                MONTENEGRINS IN KOSOVO

The international peace force in Kosovo
(KFOR) has not done enough so far to protect Serbs,
Montenegrins and other non ethnic Albanians in the
province from violence by ethnic Albanian
                   extremists.

This attitude of the peacekeepers is enabling ethnic
Albanian separatists and terrorists, especially the
self-styled "Kosovo Liberation Army", to pursue
their ethnic cleansing in the province that they
                   initiated decades ago.

If KFOR does not urgently undertake decisive
actions to stop the rampaging terrorists, the process
of return of displaced Serbs to the province will
                   have to be be halted.

NATO has devastated Yugoslavia under the pretext
of preventing a humanitarian disaster for ethnic
Albanians, who were allegedly subjected to ethnic
                   cleansing.

A few days only after the pullout of Yugoslav
security forces from the province and the much
publicized arrival of KFOR, the western states
which constitute the core of international security
presence have come under the criticism of their own
peoples for allowing unprecedented ethnic cleansing
of the province of its non ethnic Albanian population.

The principal targets of rampaging "KLA" gangs are
Serbs and Montenegrins, but terrorists have not
spared either the Romanies, ethnic Turks, Muslims
and other ethnic communities in Kosovo.

Many of them are behaving in an absolutely
                   unacceptable manner, burning Serb homes,
destroying Christian holy sites, looting and stealing,
                   KFOR Commander Mike Jackson admitted
                   recently.

The international humanitarian group Human Rights
Watch said it had gathered sufficient evidence of
killings, rapes and other forms of harassment to
which the "KLA" leaders have resorted
systematically in order to expel the Serb minority
                   from Kosovo.

The London Times writes that British officers
compare ethnic Albanian gangs with the Irish
Republican Army and other para-military forces in
                   Northern Ireland.

However, western officials have so far avoided
replying to the essential question why they are
condoning the violence by the terrorist "KLA".

"KLA" members, whose "leaders" are notorious drug
dealers and money launderers, are now walking
around freely in Kosovo and passing
arbitrary "judgments" according to the customs of
                   medieval warlords.

They consider each and every Serb or Montenegrin
as culprits and accuse Romanies of looting and
                   spying for Serbs.

Since KFOR arrived in the province, over 10,000
                   Romanies have fled their homes.

KFOR has promised it would protect the non ethnic
Albanian population, but usually does nothing to
prevent terrorists from persecuting Serbs and
Montenegrins, remaining a silent witness of
                   violence.

NATO headquarters in Brussels has so far refused to
answer why it has allowed ethnic cleansing of Serbs
in Kosovo, why it does not control the
                   Yugoslav-Albanian border that Albanian gangsters
and criminals are crossing daily on looting
expeditions, and who has  given the right to self-styled
ethnic Albanian  "premier" Hashim Thaci and his
followers to judge  who is right and who is wrong in
                   the province.

It is also unclear why the "KLA" terrorists have been
given the long deadline of 90 days to demilitarize.

As the terrorists are using their weapons daily
against civilians, one may wonder who has drawn up
the policy being followed by KFOR, which has come
                   to Kosovo under UN aegis.

                   ITALIAN KFOR OFFICER TESTIFIES TO
                TERRORISM BY ETHNIC ALBANIAN
                SEPARATISTS

                   Ethnic Albanian separatists continue terrorizing
Serbs and ethnic Albanians loyal to the Yugoslav
state, while the peace force members, if and when
they prevent them from doing so at all, release them
immediately afterwards, an Italian KFOR officer
said in an open letter published Friday by the Rome
                   daily Liberazione.

The officer illustrated his testimony by describing a
manhunt on Serbs he had witnessed. This is a
favorite sport to which ethnic Albanian criminals
wearing elegant US uniforms with "KLA" insignia
resort with joy, he said. Hidden in the woods, ethnic
Albanians fired in the legs of women and girls
waiting in line to get water from a tank provided by
the Italian army. After three womenwere wounded,
the officer and two of his men fired into the air
(as such were the orders), dispersing the criminals.
After a long chase, they captured one of the bandits
who said it was just  a game - one leg - one dollar.
Then he screamed "They must have been Serb
whores!" Obeying the orders, the Italian troops were
forced to release the  criminals, the officer said.

At the end of his letter, the officer, who gave his
name only as Alesio for obvious reasons, said that
the Italian troops were endeavoring to do their duty
with seriousness and honor in order to help the poor
                   but proud people in Kosovo.

                   FRENCH PEACEKEEPERS DEPLOY
                ARMORED VEHICLE TO PROTECT NUNS

French peacekeepers within KFOR have sent an
armored vehicle to protect the nuns of the Devic
monastery, 6 km from Srbica in Kosovo,
the Devic nuns said on Saturday.

The French troops stationed in this medieval Serb
monastery regularly supply the nuns with food by
                   helicopter.

Ethnic Albanian terrorists plundered Devic about
two weeks ago. The terrorists stole the monastery's
agricultural machinery, vehicles, all the food and
smashed many icons and objects of art.
